2007.03.24 — 2007.09.17

Mar.24 (Sat), 2007 – Sep.17 (Mon), 2007

Paintings in Bloom: Flower Pictures from the Collection was an exhibition that focused on paintings in the museum collection that present images of flowers. Monet’s Gladiolas, Renoir’s Anemones, Van Gogh’s Thistles, and Japanese flower paintings were just some of the lovely array of blossoms on display.

Emile Gallé and Glass Works of the Art Nouveau was the first large-scale exhibition of glass arts held at the Pola Museum of Art since the opening. The exhibition featured the museum’s superb collection of glass decorative arts and focused on examples of Art Nouveau glass. In addition to works by the premier Art Nouveau glassmaker, Emile Gallé, the exhibition displays vased and lamps by Daum brothers and Louis C. Tiffany. Many of the 170 works in this exhibition were here presented in their first public showing.
